Discover Awa NDIAYE

Born January 10, 1983 in Saboya - Senegal, Awa is a

 visual and multidisciplinary artist.  She has a preference for women : "all themes linked to life inspire me but i prefer the subject relating to the surrogate and adoptive mother. This choice foreshadows my story as a mother, having been raised by my aunt since the age of 2. I met my biological mother at the age of 15". 

Awa graduated from the National School on Fine Arts in 2006;

Her works fuse geometric shapes with figurative elements conveyed by a vibrant and colorful style which highlights, the gentleness and tenderness of the mother, the good looks of a child, the joy of little girls' games and the charm of women.
